A FURTHER 11 people have been charged with drink driving offences since the launch of our Summer Anti-Drink and Drug Driving Campaign on June 10, 2016.
This brings the total number of drivers charged to 27.
A total of 12 people have been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and have been released on bail pending laboratory testing of the samples they provided.
They are a 19-year-old man from Southend, a 19-year-old woman from Basildon, a 29-year-old man from Wickford, a 23-year-old man from Stanford-le-Hope, a 53-year-old man from London and a 20-year-old man from Stanford-le-Hope. They have all been released on bail pending further investigation and laboratory testing of the sample they provided.
Drivers due to appear in court charged with drink driving are:
Musawenkos Ndlovu, 31, of Stephenson Drive, Basildon due to appear before magistrates in Basildon on the morning of July 28, 2016. He was arrested in Basildon at around 1am on June 18, 2016.
Dariusz Szmid, 39, of Silver Birch Close, Colchester due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on the morning of July 18, 2016. He was arrested on the B1058 at Wormington at 4.30pm on June 16, 2016.
William Hayes, 20, of First Avenue, Canvey Island due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court charged with drink driving on the morning of July 18, 2016 following his arrest on London Road, Benfleet just after midnight on June 17, 2016.
Jose Tavares of Avontar Road, South Ockendon due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on July 6, 2016 charged with drink driving. The 37-year-old was arrested in Avontar Road, South Ockendon just before 1am on June 18, 2016.
Tracy Bolding, 50, of Dudley Close, Chafford Hundred due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on July 7, 2016 following her arrest in Brentwood just after midnight on June 19, 2016.
Steve Watts of Pownall Crescent, Colchester due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on the morning of July 18, 2016. The 52-year-old was arrested on the A12 at the junction with the A130 at just before 1pm on June 17, 2016.
Jamie Chignell of Malvern Close, Chelmsford due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on July 18, 2016 charged with drink driving. The 19-year-old was arrested at Park Avenue, Chelmsford on June 16, 2016.
Terry Lake, 34, of Shipwrights Drive, Benfleet due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on the morning of July 1, 2016 charged with drink driving. He was arrested in Shipwrights Drive, Benfleet just after 9.15pm on June 16, 2016.

Stephen Kennedy of Seabrooke Rise, Grays due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on the morning of August 2, 2016 charged with drink driving and driving otherwise than in accordance with the terms of his licence. The 43-year-old was arrested in Charles Street, Grays at just after 2.30am on June 20, 2016.
Natalie Daniels, 44, of High Street, Harlow due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on August 3, 2016 charged with failing to provide a sample of breath and driving otherwise than in accordance with the terms of her licence. She was arrested in Furnhill Lane, Harlow at 5.15am on June 20, 2016. She is now
A 17-year-old girl from Clacton due to appear at Chelmsford Youth Court on the morning of July 22, 2016 charged with drink driving and driving otherwise than in accordance with the terms of her licence. She was arrested in Waldegraves Lane, West Mersea at 7.20am on June 18, 2016.
