ESSEX Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were called to a fire in shop in Calcutta Road, Tilbury.
A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots after the shop was evacuated.
The fire was caused by an electrical fault in a freeze unit. The shop was cleared of smoke by 17:54hrs.
