Essex Police reveal hate crime increase since Brexit including complaints against Nigel Farage

ESSEX Police bosses have revealed that there has been a 50% increase in hate crime complaints since the EU Referendum on Thursday night.

Assistant Chief Constable Maurice Mason was speaking to the assembled councillors at Thurrock Council on Wednesday night.

He has made reference to complaints made against UKIP leader, Nigel Farage.

Later he detailed that there had been 46 complaints of hate crime across the county since Friday.
