DETECTIVES investigating a shooting in Stanford-le-Hope have made an arrest.
Police were called shortly before 7pm on Tuesday May 10 with reports that a man driving a silver Ford Transit van had been shot while he was sat in his vehicle at the junction of London Road and Stanford Road.
He was taken to hospital with life changing injuries. He has been discharged from hospital but continues to receive medical treatment.
Yesterday, officers arrested a 33-year-old man from Ilford on suspicion of attempted murder. He’s been taken into custody for questioning.
