Four Thurrock women set to stand trial over sale of "fake goods".

A NUMBER of Thurrock women are being taken to court by Thurrock Council over a series of charges in relation to fake goods.

Kimberley Chalk, aged 40, of Rookery View, Grays was charged with the following

Between 01/01/2013 and 31/12/2014 at Grays with a view to gain for yourself or another, or with intent to cause loss to another, and without the consent of the proprietor, had in your possession, custody or control in the course of business, goods, namely handbags,purses and other goods through Facebook, which bore, or the packaging of which bore, a sign identical to, or likely to be mistaken for, a registered trade mark, namely Registered Trade Marks, with a view to you or another selling the said goods.

On or about 17/04/2014 at Grays with a view to gain for yourself or another, or with intent to cause loss to another, and without the consent of the proprietor, had in your possession, custody or control in the course of business, goods, namely handbag , which bore, or the packaging of which bore, a sign identical to, or likely to be mistaken for, a registered trade mark, namely Mulberry, with a view to you or another selling the said goods.

On or about 31/07/2014 at Grays with a view to gain for yourself or another, or with intent to cause loss to another, and without the consent of the proprietor, had in your possession, custody or control in the course of business, goods, namely handbags,wallets and other goods, which bore, or the packaging of which bore, a sign identical to, or likely to be mistaken for, a registered trade mark, namely Registered Trade Mark, with a view to you or another selling the said goods.

Chalk has been sent to Basildon Crown Court for trail on July 27th.

Jacklyn Yuklin Grimes, aged 46 of Cample Lane in South Ockendon was charged with the following:

Between 01/01/2011 and 31/12/2014 at South Ockendon with a view to gain for yourself or another, or with intent to cause loss to another, and without the consent of the proprietor, conspired to distribute goods, namely clothing,footwear,handbags,purses,wallets,watches,sunglasses jewellery and other items, bearing, or the packaging of which bore, a sign identical to, or likely to be mistaken for, a registered trade mark, namely Registered Trade Marks

On or about 14/10/2014 at South Ockendon with a view to gain for yourself or another, or with intent to cause loss to another, and without the consent of the proprietor, had in your possession, custody or control in the course of business, goods, namely quantity clothing,sunglasses,purses,handbag,belts,watches,

footwear,perfume and other goods, which bore, or the packaging of which bore, a sign identical to, or likely to be mistaken for, a registered trade mark, namely Registered Trade Marks, with a view to you or another selling the said goods.

Grimes has been sent for trial to Basildon Crown Court on July 27th.

Joanne NOONAN, aged 44, of Oakway, Grays was charged with the following

Between 01/01/2011 and 31/12/2014 at Thurrock in the county of Essex with a view to gain for yourself or another, or with intent to cause loss to another, and without the consent of the proprietor, conspired together with Joanne NOONAN to distribute goods, namely clothing,footwear,handbags,purses,wallets,watches,suinglasses,jewellery and other items, bearing, or the packaging of which bore, a sign identical to, or likely to be mistaken for, a registered trade mark, namely Registered Trade Marks. Contrary to section 1(1) of the Criminal Law Act 1977.

On or about 01/06/2016 at Grays acquired, used or had possession of criminal property, namely purchasing a Peugeot RCZ GT

Between 09/10/2013 and 24/01/2014 at Grays concealed, disguised, converted, transferred or removed criminal property, namely 52 Oakway, Grays, by means of separate payments to the Bradford & Bingley mortgage account.

On or about 09/04/2014 at Grays with a view to gain for yourself or another, or with intent to cause loss to another, and without the consent of the proprietor, had in your possession, custody or control in the course of business, goods, namely handbags,purses,gloves,jewellery and other goods, which bore, or the packaging of which bore, a sign identical to, or likely to be mistaken for, a registered trade mark, namely Registered Trade Marks, with a view to you or another selling the said goods.

On or about 22/12/2014 at Grays acquired, used or had possession of criminal property, namely £3000 in cash.

Contrary to sections 329(1) and 334 of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

Noonan has been sent to trial on July 27th at Basildon Crown Court.

Laura O’Keefe, aged 35, of 61 Howell Road, Corringham was charged with the following

Between 01/01/2013 and 05/04/2014 at Thurrock with a view to gain for yourself or another, or with intent to cause loss to another, and without the consent of the proprietor, sold goods, namely handbags, purses, belts, sunglasses, footwear, watches and other goods through ‘Facebook’ and at other locations, bearing, or the packaging of which bore, a sign identical to, or likely to be mistaken for, a registered trade mark, namely unknown.

Contrary to section 92(1)(b) and (6) of the Trade Marks Act 1994.

On or about 27/01/2014 at Corringham with a view to gain for yourself or another, or with intent to cause loss to another, and without the consent of the proprietor, sold goods, namely one handbag, bearing, or the packaging of which bore, a sign identical to, or likely to be mistaken for, a registered trade mark, namely the ‘Mulberry’ mark and the ‘Mulberry Tree’ logo owned by Mulberry Company (Design) Limited.

O’Keefe has been sent to trial on July 27th at Basildon Crown Court.

O’Keefe has indicated a plea of not guilty.
