RESIDENTS have complained about "flooding and half-done-jobs"at the Persimmon Homes development in Aveley.
Cllr Tim Aker MEP said: "Residents came to me over two weeks ago to complain that they have been flooded twice in as many weeks. They had complained to Persimmon as well as the housing association and still jobs are being left half done.
"I visited a home in Courts Way in Aveley and was shocked by what I saw. In the garden there is a trench between the door and the garden than anyone could easily trip over. How this is acceptable is beyond me.
"It’s time the residents of the development were properly looked after and both Persimmon and the housing association work swifter and more professional in making necessary repairs and ensuring proper drainage so that the homes are not yet flooded again.
