THE woes over the state of Thurrock deepened as Grays Beach was rendered unusable due to a problem with flooding.
Families turned up to the park on Saturday morning to find almost half of the beach section under water.
Some made light of it. Infact some children took the opportunity for a dip but as time went on the water has turned into a smelly swamp.
A number of residents have gone onto social media to complain as well as point out that there are no toilet facilities at the park and the cafe is closed.
We contacted Grays Thurrock councillor, John Kent who put to on a list of woes in his ward but he has fond it hard to get a response from council officers.
We contacted the portfolio holder for the environment, cllr Pauline Tolson but she has failed to reply.
We also contacted Thurrock Council but they have yet to respond at time of publication.
