1089 Essex – A1089 Dock Approach Road in Grays closed and queuing traffic northbound at the A1013 Stanford Road junction, because of a serious accident involving a lorry and a car and recovery work.

The East of England Ambulance Service Trust was called to a road traffic collision between a lorry and a car on Approach Road in Grays at 1.21pm today (27th July).
An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer and HEMS air ambulance attended.
Unfortunately despite the best efforts of emergency services, a woman in her 60s sadly died at scene.
