A GRAYS childcare provider has bee highly praised by Ofsted just a few months after being branded "inadequate".
Monarch Childcare have a number of centres but in December the one based at 62a Whitehall Lane in Grays was highly criticised by Ofsted.
But the government watchdog returned in June and was impressed.
The report states:
Since the last inspection, the company directors, managers and staff have made significant improvements and implemented considerable changes. These changes have improved the quality of teaching, resulting in good outcomes for children.
Staff have a secure knowledge of how children learn and provide a varied programme of activities and play opportunities. Accurate observation, assessment and planning for individual children help to ensure that they continue to progress well in their learning and development.
The wonderfully resourced garden offers children an extensive range of opportunities to develop their communication and language skills in a unique way. For example, they make ‘magic potions’ with water and paint, dig in the superb sandpit and build in the construction area. Children talk to each other and staff in a relaxed and informal manner.
Partnerships with parents, external agencies and schools are strong. Children receive very good support, which contributes to meeting their care needs successfully and improving outcomes.
