AVELEY suffered a humiliating defeat as they lost 6-2 to Phoenix Sports.
Phoenix have had a great start to the season winning both their games.
Aveley took the lead through a Lewis Mingle own goal in the ninth minute. Then went two goals up through Abayomi Seymour in the 29th minute.
But then the floodgates opened as Phoenix hit them for six goals.
The result means Aveley are in twelfth place on three points.
They return to action on Saturday in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup at home against AFC Hornchurch.
