Charity champion cycles to Paris for dementia

HE may have moved up from Orsett to Laindon but champion charity fundraiser Damian Walters continues to put in the hard yards for good causes.

Damian has just completed the London-Paris Cycle challenge.

Damian said: "I’m pleased to say that I completed the 375 mile challenge in four days, smashing my fundraising target of £1500 – raising a fantastic £2850 for Alzheimer’s Society – a charity close to my heart.

"Whilst an incredibly tough challenge, the satisfaction gained outweighed the sore backside by far!!!

"I dedicate the challenge to my grandmother Marie Walters, 93 of Eltham, SE London. A remarkable woman who has been ravaged by dementia".
