The Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus is recruiting new members. Two taster sessions will run on 12 and 19 September at Palmers College. The Thurrock Community Chorus recruits just once a year so grab this opportunity to join this dynamic group.
The Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus has had a great year culminating in a sell-out concert at the Civic Hall in Grays in July, celebrating its fifth anniversary. The Chorus performs regularly in Thurrock, in London, at the Royal Opera House and other venues. The 120 + strong Chorus performs a range of traditional opera, classical choral works and contemporary music. All singing abilities are welcome and no previous singing experience is needed to join. This year, the Chorus is particularly looking for male tenors and basses and high soprano voices.
There are no auditions, just a simple range test in which singers can discover how high and how low they can sing and into which section of the Chorus they would fit. Anyone aged eight years and over who has a passion for singing is welcome to attend the free taster sessions to meet other Chorus members and find out all about singing with the Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus – a singing group like none other.
The free taster sessions take place at Palmer’s College in Chadwell Road, Grays, on Monday 12 and Monday 19 September from 7.15pm until 9.30pm.
