THE Edinburgh Woollen Mill is investing in a new concession in Thurrock Garden Centre, creating six new jobs.
To celebrate the landmark opening on Thursday 15 September at 9am, staff will greet the first 20 customers to make a purchase in store with a goody bag containing a scarf, mug and shortbread.
The retailer will also mark its arrival with an in-store competition rewarding 20 lucky visitors with a prize. The first visitors to find the envelopes hidden around the store will walk away with a voucher card to spend in store.
Diane Bradford, Area Manager for The Edinburgh Woollen Mill in South Ockendon, said: “Thurrock Garden Centre is a real hub of retail activity in the area, attracting visitors from far and wide. We knew The Edinburgh Woollen Mill would be a great addition to the offering in the centre and to our existing stores across Essex, and so we jumped at the chance to get involved.
“Importantly, the opening is also bringing jobs to the local area and for shoppers, we’ll be opening just in time for the arrival of our new autumn/winter lines for him and her.”
The new store will feature some of the retailer’s most sought after men’s and ladies wear including Country Rose, Isle, Honor Millburn, One Valley and P.G. Field, plus the latest gift and accessories.
As part of one of the UK’s largest high street chains, the garden centre store will join a portfolio of 380 Edinburgh Woollen Mill stores spanning the UK.
