Needham Market 5 v 1 Grays Athetic
GRAYS Athletic suffered another heavy defeat as they went down 5-1 to promotion chasing Needham Market.
Goals by Max Booth (10′), Jack Curtis (53′), Manny Osei (73′) and a brace by Reece Dobson (79 and 85) made it a great night for the Suffolk side
Joel Appiah-Kubi (88′) scored the lone Grays goal.
The result means that Grays are now second from bottom in the league. Although it is only September, you did start to worry whether a team composed of a new group of players managed by a rookie manager can possibly survive in the Ryman Premier.
Grays Athletic have signed three players as they look to strengthen their squad. Midfielder Stepahne Ngamvoulou, whose previous clubs include Staines Town, Whitehawk and Boston United has signed terms with the club. The Blue have also completed the signing of Jordan Aghatise.
The defender was recently released by Notts County and can play in the centre of defence or right-back. The final signing is 19 year-old goalkeeper Callum Thomas who joins the club on loan from Charlton Athletic.
