A THURROCK man will compete to go into business with Lord Alan Sugar in the latest series of the BBC’s The Apprentice.
Linford-based Courtney Wood, 29, will compete to take the top prize of a £250,000 investment in their business idea by Lord Sugar.
Courtney, from Linford, designs novelty gifts for national and international retailers.
A show spokesman said: “He describes himself as fun with a positive attitude and he believes his confidence is one of his strongest attributes.
“He says he is not one to sit back and plans to assert his authority in the process. He thinks his cut-throat tactics will help him reach the top.”
In a statement issued by the show, Courtney said: “How would I describe myself in one sentence? I’ll give you one word. Awesome.”
The first episode will air next Thursday at 9pm on BBC1.
