MONSTRO Theatre’s show “Bookstory is coming to Grays and Corringham Libraries on Saturday 29 October.The pioneering puppet musical tells the story of Brian’s busy library – where the books are happy and love to be borrowed.That is until one day, Brian goes all quiet and so does his library the only book he is reading now is a funny, shiny-looking one which says it has four billion pages.A talented team of performers use song, puppetry and dynamic performance to bring to life this celebration of books, reading and libraries in the digital age.Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhoods, Cllr Sue MacPherson, said: “In the age of Wikipedia, Facebook and Twitter, it is always great to bring people together to celebrate books.”It is important we teach young people in Thurrock about the use and value of books as a source of knowledge and entertainment. The performances will be taking place in Grays Library at 2pm and Corringham Library at 6.30pm on Saturday 29 October. The show is suitable for children aged 5 and tickets are £4 per child (accompanying parent goes free).
