STANFORD West Conservative councillors – Shane Hebb and Terry Piccolo – continue to push for a gate to be installed at the entrance of the Rainbow Lane pathway to the sea wall.Following two consultations, there have been a very small number of challengers against such the proposal, which means that a special report is to be produced, with options, for the Cabinet Member for Highways to make a balanced and informed decision about whether or not a gate should be installed.Cllr Hebb said: “We are clear that this is the right thing to do – to purge the scourge that is dumping their waste in our neighbourhood – we have to stop making it so easy”.
