CCTV image released after gang rob teenager in Stanford-le-Hope

london-road-2POLICE investigating the robbery of a teenager in Stanford-le-Hope last month have identified one of the people pictured in CCTV images.

Officers have spoken to the female pictured and eliminated her as a suspect.

The incident took place on London Road between 7.15pm and 7.45pm on October 21.

An 18-year-old boy was waiting at a bus stop when he was approached by six suspects – four men and two women- who assaulted him and robbed him of his mobile phone. The boy suffered concussion, facial bruising and cuts to his knees.

Police still want to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV images. He is described as white aged in his late teens to early 20s who wore a dark “North Face” jacket with the hood up.

One is a woman aged in her late teens to early 20s, with long blonde hair who was wearing a white top and carrying a clutch bag. The second person is a white male, aged in his late teens to early 20s who wore a dark “North Face” jacket with the hood up.

Anyone who recognises the man or woman or who has information about the robbery can contact PC Owen Clements at Grays CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
