MOSAIC Thurrock’s Fun Choir’s 20th Anniversary concert was certainly a huge success with a packed audience enjoying an evening of the choirs history through musical pieces interspersed with events that happened over the years, from entering a choral competition to when all the lights were turned off in a hall & the pianist called out “I can’t see the music!”
A wonderful buffet was sampled by all during the interval & an equally delicious cake that had been especially made to celebrate the event was cut & passed around.
The second half started with a presentation of a word art picture to the choirs Musical Director Daryl Barber in thanks for his starting up the choir & continued enthusiasm over the years.
Then followed a selection of pieces the choir had worked on during the last couple of years & finished with an encore of “Thank you for the Music” after they had received a standing ovation.
All this fun & entertainment also raised just over £1300.00 for the Essex Air Ambulance charity.
Their next concert is on Saturday 3rd December at St John’s Church, Corringham followed by singing at Lakeside from 6pm on Thursday 15th December in aid of London Air Ambulance then on Friday 16th they will be part of the Grays Rotary Club Concert at the Civic Hall.
