By JoJo MitchellDURING the month of October Thurrock Community Policing team had some great success stories with our partnership agencies, including three taxi drivers getting their licences revoked by Thurrock Council after a joint investigation into a road rage incident where an assault occurred.On 1 October we continued to run Operation Sacrifice, dealing with nuisance off-road bikes within Thurrock, and issuing warnings to offenders.On 2 October we completed a warrant under Operation Frostbite on a suspected brothel which came under our human trafficking work.12 October saw a multi-agency visit to Baldwins Farm, South Ockendon, for Operation Door-Mouse. Environmental agency, Immigration Department, Trading Standards and Essex Fire department and Thurrock CPT attended the location to search containers, with the contents of 9 containers holding over £250,000 of stolen vehicle parts which were seized. We would also like to thank Port of Tilbury Police for their assistance with storing some of the seized items.Operation Perceptional saw 5 carwashes in Thurrock checked on 18 October, with Immigration and Police obtaining the identities of persons working at the premises as part of our Human trafficking priority.We gathered intelligence in regards to a known gang nominal, and were completing curfew checks on their home address. Due to a breach on this we worked with Metropolitan Police who then completed an arrest on 18 October. This is another great example of a multi-agency approach being successful.Operation Sceptre saw us team up with British transport police, Essex Police’s Raptor team and our local Partnership agencies and attend local colleges, train stations and high street areas targeting knife crime. We gained a lot of valuable intelligence on this operation and achieved 3 arrests.On 21 and 22 October we ran Op Apache, a joint Operation alongside Thurrock Councils Anti-social behaviour team, Licencing and Thurrock Special constables. This was focussed on Anti-social behaviour in Stanford-le-hope and Corringham, and resulted in numerous stop searches on youths in the area, alcohol being seized from underage youths, and a premises getting caught trading without a licence. As well as all this we gained intelligence in regards to local crime, damage and illegal gambling. We are also assisting Grays CID with an investigation into a robbery which occurred by Stanford-le-hope train station on 21 October.We are now working on our Halloween and Fireworks Operation, Pumpkin.
