REALITY stars Lydia Bright and Georgia Konsoulou, from The Only Way is Essex, will be making an appearance at intu Lakeside Shopping Centre on Monday 12 December for an ice skating spectacle followed by a meet and greet with fans.
From 5-7pm, the duo will be celebrating intu’s Christmas campaign, which features seven specially crafted bird puppets. Each bird is designed to reflect shopping behaviour over the festive period, as seen in intu’s Christmas advert: intu.co.uk/Christmas/ad
The birds include The Window Shopper (swan), The Me Me Me Shopper (flamingo), The Over Excited Shopper (peacock), The Bargain Hunter Shopper (hawk), The Wise Shopper (owl), The Last Minute Panic Shopper (chicken) and The Big Day Out Shopper (duck).
Lydia and Georgia will perform a 15-minute ice skating routine with the birds, and following this there will be a chance for shoppers to meet Lydia and Georgia.
Both stars have picked which bird most resembles their festive shopping habits – Lydia compares herself to a swan and Georgia is a flamingo.
Lydia Bright said: “I’m definitely a swan – when shopping for Christmas presents I prefer to take my time, looking in each shop to make sure that I buy the right gifts for everyone.”
Georgia Kousoulou added: “I love Christmas shopping, especially when I’m buying gifts for myself or my new Christmas outfits so I can look fabulous over the festive season – so I’m most like a flamingo! I can definitely relate to the flamingo’s traits and always meet the girls for a bite to eat and something fizzy after a hard day shopping (for me).”
