A MAN has been charged after police were called with reports of a burglary in progress.
Officers were called to Cecil Avenue, Chafford Hundred, on Monday, December 5. Leroy Dunlop, 37, unemployed, of Peartree Close, South Ockendon, was arrested and later charged with burglary and obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty.
He appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday December 7. No pleas were entered and he was remanded in custody to appear at Basildon Crown Court on January 4, 2017.
A 35-year-old woman from South Ockendon was arrested on suspicion of burglary and released on bail until January 18, 2017 pending further enquiries.
