EXTRA GP and nurse appointments will be on offer this Christmas with the Thurrock health hubs opening for extended hours over the festive period.
The health hubs – the weekend and Wednesday evening service that provides GP and nurse appointments – will see patients in a number of morning and evening appointments from Christmas Eve until Monday 02 January.
Steve Mckenna, practice manager at Neera Medical Centre said: “It can sometimes be hard accessing NHS services over the holidays. That’s why we are really excited to be providing this extra service to the people of Thurrock. If you need to see a GP, just phone your regular practice and ask for an appointment at one of the hubs.”
