Barbara Ward, BATIAS Chief Officer, said, “When Trevor Rawson, of Tai Chi for Health (Essex), told me earlier this year that the group wanted to adopt BATIAS as their local charity of the year I was very pleased. Little did I realise how much money they would be able to raise by participating in a variety of sponsored events throughout the year.
BATIAS would like to say a very big thank you to everyone from Tai Chi for Health (Essex) who walked, ran or exercised, as well as those local residents who sponsored them to get fit on behalf of BATIAS. We will be using the funds raised to help support our Zero 5 Social Club for adults with learning disabilities in Thurrock as we think it is important that those that contributed know that the funds they raise support local activities”.
