AVELEY succumbed to a rare defeat by a strong AFC Hornchurch on Friday night.
Two goals by Leon McKenzie (34′ and 43) and one by Kenzer Lee (40′) secured the three points for the Urchins.
Mason Bloomfield (36′) scored for Aveley.
The result sees Avery still third in the league on 46 points, eight points off the top.
They return to league action on Friday December 30th (8pm) at home against Haringey Borough
