THURROCK Courts Players bring their naughtiest ever production to the Thameside Theatre this year with “The Only Way Is Dick”, an ADULT ONLY panto written and directed by local celebrity Luke Coldham. Based on the original fairy tale of Dick Whittington, Luke has filled this famous family-friendly pantomime full of adult humour, sexual references and explicit innuendos. Crammed in with naughty audience participation and enough special effects to blow any pantos budget out of the water. This is definitely not a show for the faint hearted, and has been marketed for over 18’s only.
Luke, who played Smee in the Thameside Theatre’s box office smash Peter Pan, said “I have been performing in panto for over 10 years now, and have always wanted to write my own. So I thought ‘Why not create an adult only panto where I can incorporate all the jokes and filth you couldn’t use in a normal panto?’ The cast are outstanding, the sets and costumes are fabulous, and of course panto wouldn’t be panto without using every magical pyrotechnic and special effect there is.”
The award winning company have been running since 1954, and over the years have produced some excellent productions. Most recently “Blackadder”, “The Ghost Train” & “The Vicar of Dibley” Which was awarded the best production by NODA in the south east.
