IT HAS been a busy start to the year for an organisation that, as it says on the tin, is there to protect the interests of the Thurrock residents and their health needs.
Healthwatch boss Kim James was in attendance at a recent Thurrock Council Cabinet meeting, where the future of East Tilbury Medical Centre was discussed.
Kim is also set to attend the Chadwell St Mary Community Forum meeting on Wednesday night, where the future of the Chadwell Medical Centre is set to be discussed.
With pressures at A and E Departments also a matter of major concern, it could be Healthwatch;s busiest year yet.
Ms James said: “Yes, it has certainly been busy. As we speak, I am off the the Health and Well Being Committee meeting at Thurrock Council.
“Will keep all of our residents up to date as to where we are with all the matters of concern.”
