Thurrock schools impress with Ebacc results

THE English Baccalaureate (EBacc) is a performance measure for schools, awarded when students secure a grade C or above at GCSE level across a core of five academic subjects – english, mathematics, history or geography, the sciences and a language. It is not a qualification in itself.

Having said all that, the Thurrock schools are doing very well.

Here is a list of the 2016 results

1. Harris Academy Chafford Hundred: 60%
2. Grays Convent: 39%
3. William Edwards: 37%
4. Gable Hall: 36%
5. St Cleres: 31%
6. Hassenbrook: 15%
7. Ormiston Park Academy: 7%
8. Gateway Academy: 6%
9. Hathaway Academy: 2%
