A LEADING Thurrock UKIP councillor rose on the floor of the council chamber to draw attention to a bill Grays residents had received from Thurrock Council.
The matter was brought up by cllr Luke Spillman in a number of questions he had for the councillor in the charge of the environment.
A number of alleyways near Dell Road in Grays had suffered from fly-tipping. The alleyways are on private land and so not the direct responsibility of the council.
Cllr Spillman told the chamber that several residents had received a bill in excess of £200 each for removal of the fly-tip.
