Thurrock’s Rugby Olympian opens new facilities at Belhus Park

Emily S

ENGLAND rugby player Emily Scott has unveiled a brand new reception area at Impulse Leisure Belhus Park as part of the latest phase of redevelopment for the family leisure centre.

The 24-year-old athlete, who is part of England Rugby’s Elite Playing Squad and an Impulse Leisure member, visited the centre to officially launch its news facilities.

These include the new reception area, which has been completely remodelled to provide a bright and welcoming space for visitors, and the refurbished vending area which offers an inviting space to have a drink and a snack after a workout.

Charitable trust Impulse Leisure has also created a new viewing area where parents and carers can relax while watching their youngsters in the swimming pool.

This is the latest phase of work in the transformation of Belhus Park. It follows Impulse Leisure’s £400,000 investment in 2016 to extend the gym, refurbish the exercise studio and changing facilities and create a new disabled changing room and toilet.

“We are all proud of the new facilities at Belhus Park and our customers absolutely love the improvements we have made. The investment in Belhus Park mean our facilities rival those found in private health clubs, but at a fraction of the price, and we hope the new-look centre will encourage many more people to keep fit and stay healthy,” says centre manager Juan Rangel.
