Foodbank Collection Challenge for Fobbing

DONATE one thousand items of food in just one day. That’s the challenge Thurrock Foodbank has set to the residents of Fobbing. And collection day is Saturday 11th March.

We aim to collect 1,000 items which is enough food to keep Thurrock Foodbank supplied for an average week. All the food donated is to help local Thurrock people who are in need.

Volunteers will be knocking on doors in Fobbing on 11th May to collect food and there will be food collection points at the White Hart and the Haywain all week where you can also drop off food items.

Foodbank needs non-perishable items and the focus is currently on long- life fruit juice, tea bags, long-life whole milk, tinned fruit, tinned sweetcorn, tinned potatoes, tinned rice pudding and tinned fish.

So remember that Saturday 11th March is Foodbank Challenge Day in Fobbing and we need everyone to join in to reach the target of 1,000 items.
