This week the WPO celebrated it’s 3rd Anniversary.
A spokesperson said: “Throughout this time we have we have worked tirelessly towards our mission to bring THE BEST orchestral music to Thurrock. We have seen much success over this period and are overwhelmed by the support that we have received from the local area and National Funders.
We are busy working on future projects for 2017 and we would love for you ALL to get involved.
We are looking for people from the Thurrock community to be a part of our committee. The committee meet 2 times a year and discuss the general running of the orchestra. By becoming a part of the managerial committee you would be able to contribute to the wealth of cultural activities that we provide in Thurrock. In addition to this, we are looking for people to be a part of our ‘project committees’. This would involve overseeing and directly contributing to our projects and allows Thurrock residence the opportunity to be a part of the WPO for individual projects without the long-term commitment of contributing to our managerial committee.
