THURROCK’S X-Factor winner, Louisa Johnson has released her latest single.
The 19-year-old, who won The X Factor in 2015, is yet to release her first LP; marking a clear shift from predecessors who rush-released their own collections in the space of a few months.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, she explained: “It’s just how I wanted to do it. I thought if I did win, when I brought out an album, I didn’t want to follow the same pattern.
“I wanted to put out a few songs before the album, I just felt like that was the way for me.”
She’s definitely off to a good start: her Clean Bandit collaboration Tears was a bona-fide smash last summer, while So Good had so much staying power that it was in the iTunes Top 5 at Christmas – two whole months after its release.
