EAST Tilbury’s Cllr James Baker has worked with Roger Passfield from Thurrock Neighbourhood Watch to grow and expand East Tilbury’s Neighbourhood Watch Team.
A recent meeting in the community was attend by over 75 local residents. From this meeting 21 new road co-ordinators have came on board and five new signs are being installed.
Cllr James Baker said: “I have spoken to many residents who are deeply concerned about the rise in crime within our community while we see police numbers being cut on a regular basis.
“Rather than suffer in silence, it is fantastic to see so many local residents who are willing to work together, through the Thurrock Neighbourhood Watch Team and look after their fellow residents within our close knit community.
“I would like to thank Roger and his team from Thurrock Neighbourhood Watch for their continued support. We will be doing everything we can to reduce crime within East Tilbury, Linford and West Tilbury.
