FIRE Crews were called to a fire at a scrap yard in Station Road, East Tilbury, in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 22 March).
On arrival firefighters reported that approximately 50 tonnes of mixed refuse, including rubber, plastic and foam, was alight.
Crews worked to extinguish the fire by 6.03am.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
