Two GP surgeries in Thurrock highly praised in inspection report

Medic House in Tilbury and Appledore Medical Centre in East Tilbury belonging to Dr M.K. Ramachandran gets a ‘Good’ CQC rating.

Dr M.K. Ramachandran’s practices, Medic House in Tilbury and Appledore Medical Centre in East Tilbury are awarded a ‘Good’ rating following the latest inspection by the NHS watchdog, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

As well as an overall ‘Good’ rating, the GP practice was also awarded a ‘Good’ in all areas of practice: providing safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led services.

The latest report is based on an inspection carried out by the CQC in 2016. An earlier inspection in November 2015 identified that the practice required improvement.

GP, Dr M.K. Ramachandran said: ‘We are very pleased that our hard work to improve our services to our patients has been recognised by the CQC. We will continue our work to improve as there are always things that need to be done. I would like to thank our staff for their hard work, our colleagues in
Medicines Management at NHS Thurrock CCG for their help and advice and our patients for their good will and support.’

Head of Primary Care at Thurrock CCG said:Rahul Chaudhari said: ‘We would like to congratulate everyone at Dr Ramachandran’s surgery. They have all worked tirelessly to improve services for their patients and that commitment can be seen in the report from the CQC.’
