ESSEX Air Ambulance landed at Aveley football club after reports that a young footballer had broken his leg.
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called to Aveley Football Club, Mill Road, Aveley at just after 2.30pm on Sunday afternoon after a player was injured on the pitch.
A BASICs volunteer doctor, ambulance and the air ambulance were dispatched to the patient, all on scene within 22 minutes. He was assessed for a leg fracture and travelled to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital by land ambulance for further care.
