Premier Division
Louis O’Sullivan curled in a 25 yard equaliser that earned Springfield a point at Kelvedon Hatch. The hosts took the lead via Lee Newton and the draw means that Springfield are now seven points behind Hannakins Farm. The leaders have one game left to play while Springfield have five games left with the Premier Division title. A youthful Harold Hill side were on top for much of the opening stages against Rayleigh Town. However the visitors took the lead in the 25th minute with a Peter Beaumont effort. Rayleigh switched on in the second half and scored further goals via Chris Brown, Ricky Gill, James Blewitt and another strike from Beaumont. The win means that Rayleigh Town are almost free from relegation worries; Harold Hill however drop back to the foot of the table after Buckhurst Hill were able to snatch a point from a 1-1 draw with Manford Way. Suley Zuhdu scored the Manford Way goal and the result means that Buckhurst Hill move off the bottom spot but remain in the relegation zone. Brad Foley and Dan Driscoll both chipped in with braces as Harold Wood Athletic dished out a 5-0 beating to Bishops Stortford Swifts. Tom Rice supplied the other goal. Goals from Jamie Reddington and a header from Mike Turner provide May & Baker E.C. with the stimulus to beat Frenford Senior 2-1. Luke Woodward snared the Frenford reply.
Division One
Basildon Town captured the Division One title in some style on Saturday with Marcus Bowers going on to score five of the goals. Ben Smith, Chris Charlery and Jack Main also scored goals in the 8-2 victory. Newbury Forest replied via Bobby Wise and Jason Reynolds-Blanche. Catholic United were already promoted but still added another win to the board as they won 4-1 at Galleywood. Dan Williams scored twice with Brad Vaughan and Mike Sammut also chipping in. Runwell Sports ended their campaign with a 5-0 win over bottom-placed Newham United. Liam Sewell (2), James Driver, Arron Rix and Declan Clark were the marksmen.
Division Two
FC Hamlets secured promotion after beating Ryan 4-1. Charlie Heatley notched a hat-trick with Ashley King also scoring. The Division Two title is still up for grabs as only a solitary point separate Sungate and FC Hamlets. The top two clash next weekend in what could be a winner-takes-all encounter. If that game ends in a draw then FC Hamlets will still have a further game in which to win the division.
