THE Liberal-Democrats have announced their candidate for Thurrock in the General Election of June 8th, 2017.
Grays resident, Kevin McNamara is set to take on the challenge.
Mr McNamara stood in Ealing North in 2015 but also stood for Essex Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) in 2016.
Mr McNamara told YT “I am really looking forward to fighting this election.
“I believe this will mainly centre on Brexit and I believe that voters will recognise the role of the Lib-Dems in the Remain campaign.
“Over the next six weeks, the Lib-Dems will be on the doorstep in Thurrock, getting our message across.”
So, a non elected Ealing North candidate, a non elected Essex Police and Crime Commissioner promoting Remain in Thurrock.
Good luck Kevin, in getting your message across on the doorstep that we voted incorrectly as the 4th highest district in the UK to vote Brexit.
You obviously got the Lib-Dems shortest straw.
The race for Thurrock will be between the Nasty Party and the Goose Stepping UKIP. Sadly I fear you will lose your deposit but I support your right to stand.
whats happened to earnshaw?.
“I believe this will mainly centre on Brexit and I believe that voters will recognise the role of the Lib-Dems in the Remain campaign.”
72.3% of Thurrock voters voted to leave the EU.
