A NEW hotel is set to open near intu Lakeside this summer with hopes that it could create 20 new jobs.
Travelodge, the UK’s largest independent hotel brand, will open the branch in July, and has started its search for 20 new positions including a hotel manager and assistant manager, for its second hotel in Thurrock
Other positions include receptionists, night receptionists, housekeeping, guest room cleaners and bar café team members.
Located in Alexandra Lake, West Thurrock, the hotel is expected to boost the local economy by £2 million.
The 74-room, purpose built hotel will have a unique Bar Café overlooking the length of Alexandra Lake.
The hotel is located a few minutes’ walk from the main Lakeside Shopping Centre and within easy distance of the M25.
