AVELEY FC are delighted to announce their pre-season friendlies for the 2017/18 campaign.
The Millers are back in early for pre-season at the end of June as the players look to work off the summer.
A club spokesperson said:
“We kick off our pre-season at home to St Margaretsbury members of the Spartan South Midlands Football League Premier Division, based in Stansted. This game will take place at Mill Field, one of three pre-season games at our historic ground, Wednesday 12th July, 7.45PM.
We then take on Essex Olympian League – Premier Division outfit White Ensign on Saturday 15th July, 3PM Kick Off.

On Saturday 22nd of July we host Great Wakering Rovers who were relegated from the Isthmian North in 2016/17 and are now in the Essex Senior League looking to bounce straight back, 3PM Kick Off at Mill Field.
That game is followed by a trip to Lower Road to take on another Essex Senior outfit in Hullbridge Sports, Tuesday 25th July, 7.45PM Kick Off.
Our third and last away pre-season follows that with the Millers travelling to the Harlow Arena to take on occupants Enfield 1893 FC on Saturday 29th July, 3PM Kick Off.
We currently have three games confirmed for our new state-of-the-art facilities Parkside.
First up is Leyton Orient, managed by Omar Riza, recently relegated from the Football League to the Vanarama Conference National, that game will take place on Tuesday 1st of August, 7.45PM Kick Off.
That game is followed by Dulwich Hamlet who narrowly missed out on promotion to the conference South following defeat to Bognor Regis in the Isthmian Premier Play-off final. Gavin Rose brings his pink & blue army to Parkside on Wednesday 2nd of August, 7.45PM Kick Off.
On the following Saturday, 5th of August, we then host Danny Chapman’s Isthmian Premier League side, Harlow Town, a side of course familiar with the 3G surface.
“These fixtures are subject to change, and we may add some on in the near future”.
