Sue Neyland started volunteering at Citizens Advice Thurrock after retiring 5 years ago. She said: “It’s a great feeling when you have helped to make a difference to someone’s life and when I receive feedback from a client afterwards it is even more rewarding.

Every problem is unique to the person needing help and outcomes can differ. Volunteering has broadened my life skills and I feel I am putting something in to the local community”.

Kathy Peach, Chief Executive at Citizens Advice Thurrock said:

“Thanks to our amazing volunteers we are able to continue making a huge difference to people’s lives. Our volunteers give up their time for free to help people who may be going through problems to get back on their feet. Volunteering also brings its own rewards and is a great way to meet new people and learn new skills. If you can spare a few hours each week, we’d love to hear from you.”
