THE MAN spearheading a massive regeneration project in Purfleet has told YT that the project is still very much alive.
Back in April, councillors from across the political divide expressed their concerns as to whether the project would ever see the light of day.
Since then, YT understands that a senior politician has described the project as “dead in the water”.
We spoke to the Executive Chairman of Urban Catalyst and Quartermaster, Ken Dytor. Mr Dytor said: “The plans are still going ahead. Plans such as these are complicated as they involve the purchase of large areas of land.
“I have seen the debate in the council chamber but we are still in communication with the senior executives at Thurrock Council”.
We will continue to follow developments closely.
