Thurrock’s Louisa Johnson takes part in all-star charity single for Grenfell Tower

THURROCK’S X Factor star, Louisa Johnson has take part in a charity single for the victims of the Grenfell Tower disaster.

Simon Cowell ‘s star-studded line-up of more than 50 artists got together over the weekend to record a moving cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water.

The poignant track is performed by the collective Artists For Grenfell celebrity group, and was given its first play across UK radio stations at 8am this morning.

More than 50 artists including One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Robbie Williams, The Who’s Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, Stormzy, Rita Ora, Jessie J and Pixie Lott gave their time to record vocals for the fundraising track.

The video premiered on Wednesday night on ITV, just before Coronation Street.

The single is available to buy via iTunes.
