UKIP Councillor wins battle with Thurrock Council to get bins installed outside Herringham School

UKIP Councillor wins battle with the Council to get bins installed outside Herringham School, Chadwell St Mary.

UKIP Chadwell Councillor, Russell Cherry said: “I have been after getting bins outside Herringham School and elsewhere in Chadwell St Mary for what is simply ages now.

“I managed to get my question in on Wednesdays Full Council to the Portfolio Holder Cllr Pauline Tolson. She made light of my asking for bins in fact came across quite rude and suggested that I had never asked for bins outside the school because if I had they would have been placed there.

“Well I keep all my emails to the council and found my initial request back in October 2016. I sent this to her and the council with the negative responses I had received and two new bins have been delivered to both entrances of the school.

“I now want to be able to speak to the pupils about litter and using the bins and encourage others to use the bins to keep Chadwell a cleaner tidier place to live.”
