Paint a FREE ceramic pot on 8th and 15th July at B&Q West Thurrock

July – This month, B&Q is encouraging families to get creative by hosting ceramic pot painting activities in West Thurrock.

The free ceramic pot and painting activity is the perfect solution for parents looking to keep their children entertained as the summer holidays begin. The event will be running in B&Q stores on Saturday 8th July and Saturday 15th July and will be hosted by the helpful B&Q colleagues, who will be on hand to show families how to create their very own ceramic masterpieces.

This event is a part of B&Q’s Summer Family Fun activity. Through in-store activities and online guides B&Q will encourage families to spend the summer outdoors, creating wonderful items for their gardens and outdoor space. What’s more, the retailer aims to encourage families to support British Wildlife and believes these newly decorated pots could house some beautiful pollinating plants to help feed those buzzing British bees and butterflies.

Mike Norton, Market Director for Outdoor at B&Q, said: “A painted ceramic pot can immediately brighten up a home or garden, and what better way to get children interested in planting their own plants than to decorate their own pot. This activity really gets families rolling up their sleeves and thinking about what type of plants they’d like to grow in their own outdoor or indoor space.”

The B&Q ceramic pot painting workshops will take place at B&Q stores on Saturday 8th July and Saturday 15th July between 12pm and 2pm. To find out if your local B&Q store is taking part visit www.diy.com/activities>.
