THE THEFT of a Kit-Kat by a South Ockendon man left him with a jail sentence.
Daniel Grosvenor, aged 34, of Dart Green, South Ockendon appeared at Basildon Magistrates Court and pled guilty to the following.
1. On 27/07/2017 at South Ockendon, stole Kit Kats, to the value of £39.50, belonging to Tesco
2. On 29/07/2017 at South Ockendon, stole Washing Detergent, of a value unknown, belonging to Tesco.
3. On 30/07/2017 at South Ockendon, stole Washing Detergent and Tuna, to the value of £39.50, belonging to Tesco.
4. On 27/07/2017 at South Ockendon, stole Quantity of Steaks, to the value of £64.74, belonging to Lidl.
Grosvenor was committed to prison for two weeks consecutive to offence number 2.
Reason: Offence so serious because the offence was aggravated by the defendant’s record of previous offending.
He was fined £164.74.
