Thurrock Council’s Customer Services team applauded

THURROCK Council’s Customer Services team successfully passed an audit with flying colours to achieve the Customer Contact Association Global Standard – version 6.

Cllr Deb Huelin, Portfolio Holder with responsibility for Customer Services said: “This was an independent audit of our Customer Services operation against industry developed and approved requirements.

“The audit was extensive and thorough – they listened into calls, observed visits, interviewed management and staff as well as completed anonymous surveys with the team. A very tough, but important few days.

“The team should be very proud – in lots of ways, they are the front door of the Council and while we continue to develop our customer service tools online, the team are setting the bar extremely high to ensure any further service developments are in line with their best practice standards.”

The Customer Services Department took part in the assessment – judged by the British Standards Institution – on the 19 – 21 June and received full marks.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the customer services team!

  1. More Bull!

They love to big themselves up.

I don’t have any issues with the staff, but the system.

Cllr Huelin you should try phoning anonymously and see what type of service you get.

You can get to your desired person or be told the customer services person will email that person and they will get back to you within 3 working days.

Its not pretty and at times when you get put through, when you get moved around different people who cannot answer your questions and you end up without the answers.

It can be very frustrating and unnecessarily time consuming.
