WITH Thurrock’s children now back to school, the borough’s education lead is reminding parents, colleagues and young people to submit entries for the Thurrock Education Awards.
Cllr James Halden, Portfolio Holder for Education, said: “There are still a few weeks left to submit your nominations for this year’s Thurrock Education Awards. This is a great way to celebrate the excellence in Thurrock’s schools, academies and early year’s settings.
“With categories covering all aspects of education, from early years to career opportunities and from education support to head teacher and governor – there are plenty of options to celebrate those who go the extra mile.
“I would like to thank the sponsors for their continuing support for education in Thurrock – DP World London Gateway, ALM Training, Strategy Education, HW Wilson, Port of Tilbury, Palmers Solicitors, High House Production Park, Print Warehouse, Thames Oil Port and Impulse Leisure.”
