THURROCK Harriers finished 8th in the Eastern Youth Athletes’ League (EYAL); this a credible position for a club of its size in a league of 28 clubs and represents the hard work and dedication of it’s athletes and coaches.
On Sunday 3rd September the club played host to the EYAL Plate Final, welcoming Chelmsford, Norwich, Stevenage, Watford and Dacorum & Tring to it’s stadium. Hindered by injuries and unavailable athletes the club came 4th (only 28 points from 3rd place and 43 points from 2ndplace).
The Under 13 Boys won their section, including three first year U13 athletes who can compete in the same age group next year. All athletes performed well, particularly the middle distance athletes who gained the club a large bulk of their points.
